SP sign up to European WEEE Directive 2002/96/EC
on Waste of Electronic and Electrical Equipment

The WEEE Directive aims to reduce the waste arising from electrical and electronic equipment; and improve the environmental performance of all those involved in the life cycle of electrical and electronic products.

The WEEE symbol indicates that when the end-user wishes to discard the product, it must be sent to a separate collection facility for recovery and recycling.

By separating this product from other household-type waste, the volume of waste sent to incinerators or land-fills will be reduced and natural resources will thus be conserved.
