A Single Patient Use Resuscitator
Eliminates The Risk of Cross Infection More than thirty years have passed since Ambu introduced the first manual resuscitator to the
field of emergency medicine. Since then Ambu has upgraded existing resuscitators and developed
new ones to ensure that a simple, sate and reliable product is available for use in respiratory
emergencies, the most recent additions to the Ambu family of resuscitators are the Ambu SPUR
Adult and the Ambu SPUR infant(Child disposable resuscitators. As with all Ambu resuscitators,
conformity to BSIISO and ASTM specifications plus strict quality control ensures effective
operation in every emergency situation.
Ambu safety and simplicity at your fingertips
Functional design has always been an Ambu priority and the SPUR disposable resuscitators are
the latest examples.
These single patient use resuscitators eliminate the risk of cross infection due to inadequate
sterilisation procedures and offer protection to both the patient and to emergency care staff.
The minimal number of parts used in the construction of the SPUR underscores the simplicity of
the unit and ensures easy, safe and dependable operation of every resuscitator- every time.
Resuscitation with Ambu flexibility
The disposable SPUR resuscitators provide the same wide range of applications as any
non-disposable resuscitator. Maximum stroke volumes and high stroke rates can be achieved as
the situation requires and PEEP can be administered with ease by direct connection of a PEEP
valve.
The SPUR Infant/Child is fitted with a pressure limiting valve (40 cm H20) which can be overridden
when higher pressure is needed. An oxygen supply tube, provided with each SPUR, permits direct
connection to an external oxygen source and the valve controlled oxygen reservoir bag provides
100% oxygen with optimal economy.
