The 4" Pads cool and compress injuries to help reduce pain and swelling. An exclusive formulation of gelled water is imbedded into an elastic foam material. Gel-imbedded wrap evaporates water to simultaneously provide moist, penetrating cooling action and compression. The cooling effect lasts for hours and there is no danger of tissue damage from excessive cold as with the application of ice. This product is perfect for schools and nurseries where many teachers have no alternatives. They prefer it because it's reusable, cost effective, environmentally friendly, and suitable for vegans or vegetarians and stays cold longer than other methods used previously. Previous enquiries have lead to schools buying a number of compress bandages which they cut to size and store in sealed bags. Works well within typical education budgets and can even be used in its packaging so that it can be wiped clean afterwards.
