Hydrogel Sterile Trauma Burn Dressing
This dressing has been sized for the treatment of burns and scalds with a large surface area eg chest, back, thigh, abdomen etc.
To help minimise the potentially devastating effects of burns and scalds, an immediate and effective treatment is essential.
Burnshield Burn Treatments are the ideal solution and are available in gels, creams, dressings and blankets. These products lower the skin temperature, alleviate pain and moisturise the burn area, helping to prevent infection.
Burnshield is suitable for use on partial thickness and full thickness burns, scalds, chemical and electrical burns. Specific protocols for dealing with chemical burns must be adhered to.
Burnshield Dressings are made from open cell foam which is saturated with the Burnshield Hydrogel. The outer packaging may be used to provide extra protection from the elements for hand and foot injuries.
