The SAM IO system is made to save lives in an emergency and provide immediate vascular access when traditional IV lines are not possible to obtain. It is a must-have for a kit in high-pressure situations and is designed for use in emergencies, pre-hospital intervention scenarios, and hospital settings. The SAM IO Training Kit helps to replicate real-world intraosseous access procedures in a controlled environment and is ideal for healthcare professionals, educators, and training organisations.
It’s a manually operated intraosseous access system where catheter placement can be achieved by repeatedly compressing the driver’s trigger assembly whilst gently guiding the needle into place. The repeated full trigger compression will create a rotational spin which, when combined with gentle downward pressure, allows for a controlled IO placement. Once the needle is correctly positioned, the stylet can then be removed to expose a standard luer-lock for extension set connection. When the set has been connected with aspiration verification, flushing and selected treatments can start.
The SAM IO Driver is lightweight and made from polycarbonate material, designed for durability and ease of portability on the go. The driver does not rely on charging or battery power for operation and supports quick and intuitive needle application whilst providing a tactile feel for needle placement.
The SAM IO Training Kit includes all the necessary equipment to simulate intraosseous access using the SAM IO system. The kit includes a nylon Training Case, Driver, and three Training Needles. A realistic Distal Tibia bone model is also included in this kit for training purposes.
Please note: All parts included are for training purposes only and not intended for clinical application.
